Instead of proceeding to embassy row, His Imperial Majesty set up shop in AllNippon’s VIP lounge, to which the GovernorGeneral’s group was expeditiously welcomed upon disembarkation. Barely an hour later, the combined tiny delegation exited, met by an ad-hoc Secret Service team driving three vehicles into secure diplomat parking — a charcoal Toyota Coaster and the usual black SUVs. The Governor-General, the Emperor, and their staffs took the Coaster, and the little convoy made for the WhiteHouse…
